AR scratching from vanderlin on Vimeo.

Using a vinyl record equipped with an AR marker, he manipulates the music by moving in front of a video camera. It’s also got the added bonus of being able to control the beat across a three-dimensional space, and if you’re viewing it through the camera’s feed, the middle marker’s replaced by pre-set visuals.

Onwards from AKQA on Vimeo.

Having been quiet for most of 2009, famed illustrator James Jarvis
has had a strong career seeing many of his illustrations developed into
toys with his Amos Toys brand. The illustrators iconic free flowing
characters and style have now made the jump into motion with his short
cartoon titled Onwards. The Nike
sponsored film features a simplistic un-referential character with a
skinny body and large, rounded head. Similar to James’ own penchant for
running, we follow the character through a series of different and
invigorating landscapes. Watch the full video above.
